New York Council for the Humanities

Potsdam Library Receives Grant for Book Talk New!
The Potsdam Public Library has received a grant from the New York Council for the Humanities to host a Family Reading and Discussion Group for 2014-15, beginning Sunday, October 19 at 2:00 p.m. Similar to the Together Book Talks the library hosted in the Spring, this year’s theme, “Eleanor Roosevelt and Friends,” is original to the library and is co-sponsored by AAUW. Families with children in grades 4-6 are encouraged to register for the multiage program where adult family members and children read and discuss the texts together. We will read and discuss five books, one each month, October through February. For more information and to register, contact Sarah Sachs, Youth Services librarian at 315-265-7230 or email her.
