Summer Reading Camp 2015

“Summer Reading Camp 2015, for children ages 5-10, is based upon the NYS Collaborative Summer Library Program, Every Hero Has A Story. This yearís theme will feature heroes , from the extraordinary to the every day variety. Expect some crafts and activities, games, songs and, of course, lots of reading!

Campers will attend camp for five consecutive days from 10:30 a.m. until Noon each day. Three sessions are available: July 13-17, Jul 27-31 or August 10-14, 2015.”

Please fill out the registration form below and return it to the library by July 9 for Session 1, July 23 for Session 2 and. August 6 for Session 3.

The time will be 10:30 a.m.-Noon each day

  Program Age Level As usual, the age limits stated for the program are flexible . If you feel that your child would benefit from camp and is not within the 5-10 year old age group, please do not hesitate to contact the librarian. Mrs. Sachs is in the library 9 a.m.—5 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday. Ideally, children should be at least entering Kindergarten in the fall to fully benefit from the camp program.

  Welcome to Camp  
  Into the Woods Community Performance Series at SUNY Potsdam  

Come join us as we get to know the stories behind Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s popular musical, Into The Woods. We’ll spend a day digging into the original fairy tales, a day engaging with actors from the local production of the show, both at the library, and end by exploring the backstage on the actual set.

July 7-9, 2015
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
For kids ages 9-12

The program is free of charge, however, registration is required and space is limited to 20 attendees,
ages 9-12. The deadline to register is Tuesday, June 30, 2015
The registration form is located at the bottom of the camp flyer.

  Sign Up For Family Summer Reading Club!  

July 1-August 28 2015
We want to make sure that EVERYONE in Potsdam has a chance to read for fun in the summer, no matter where they are. Families can keep track of their reading by tens using our reading tickets, available at the library circulation desk. The more tickets a family has in the jar at the end of the program, the greater the chance that they will win a prize ! There is no age limit!
