The computer
Usage agreement has been revised to clarify and include the following
information.
- Children
are those persons 16 years of age and younger.
- An agreement
must be signed by a parent/guardian and witnessed by a staff member
or a telephone number given where the parent/guardian may be reached
to verify the signature.
- There
will be three options for parental consideration for children regarding
computer usage---no Internet use, filtered and unfiltered.
- A copy
of the agreement will be sent to the parent/guardian.
- No chat
rooms, IM (instant Messaging) or real time/live communication will
be permitted.
- Library
cards of juvenile patrons must be presented in order to use a computer;
the card will be marked indicating the parental option for the child's
use of the computer.
- Time
on the computer will be limited to one hour.
